The next music selection in the series from Tales of the Dread-Naught Kid is this reggae instrumental, replete with steel drums and the somewhat less-traditional digital whistling.
Today marks the 10th anniversary of this blog! A decade ago I had the idea of sharing excerpts of my music for film, TV, and games that I thought that folks might enjoy, but which might be hard to discover. Thanks to everyone who has listened, commented, and otherwise shared the proverbial love.
Today’s music selection comes from Tales of the Dread-Naught Kid, and intermixes a bluesy undercurrent with the nautical mood that pervades the entire score.
The next excerpt from the score for Tales of the Dread-Naught Kid features bassoon in a quirky little jig. Just the right kind of music for maritime puzzle-based problem-solving.
And to all you email readers/social media fans/blog followers: have a happy holiday season and New Year! Through good times and plague times, it’s a pleasure to share this music with you. I look forward to continuing the over-decade-old tradition in 2022.
No, I didn’t run this piece of music a just few weeks ago. That was Laid-Back Loot Grab. This is Frantic Loot Grab. It’s hard to imagine two pieces of nautically-themed loot grab music being more different.
In any case, there sure was a lot of loot larceny in Tales of the Dread-Naught Kid, the game from which all this music comes. I hope you enjoy! (Note: in real life please do not grab other people’s loot.)
Next in the series of music cues from Tales of theDread-Naught Kid is this bit of maritime-folk-music-meets-orchestra for a libation-related environment.
