Cue of the Week: “Wizard Ops (Main Theme)”
Here’s the main theme from “Wizard Ops”, a newly-released sorcerous game for your iOS (or soon, Android) gadget of choice.
I was really jazzed when I saw the game’s concept art months ago, and the musical approach suggested itself almost immediately: a rollicking but quirky scherzo, a sort of hyperactive cousin to The Sorcerer’s Apprentice or the Uranus movement of Holst’s Planets. Supernaturally adventurous, but slightly disgruntled, like the game’s protagonist.
If you’d like to hear the music in context, then levitate on over to iOS app store and check it out!
(Click on the play button to stream, or the cue title to download.)

I like this. Hopefully I can get the game to play later. (I don’t have iPhone.)
This is completely and utterly delightful. Sheer fun. My only “complaint” is that it’s so short — I’d kill for a slightly longer, more developed version!
