Cue of the Week: “Vermilion (main title)”
This week’s music selection features brooding strings, flowing piano, and a fabulously dark solo cello performance.

Lovely and spooky. Reminds me of a darker, slower, minor-key version of the Minute Waltz.
I especially love the beginning, while the theme is developing. It sort of envelopes you. If movies were produced like musicals, with content/set often following the music, I’d have a male character that has a major life decision to make, wondering about the park at dusk, sitting down to ponder.
Come to think of it, this could have been perfect for Men in Black, when Will Smith gets to decide whether to give up his life to deal with aliens. 🙂
