Cue of the Week: “The Bedroom”
This week’s selection was underscore for a steamy bedroom scene. The onscreen action was more psychological rather than physical, and so the music’s job was to imply the characters’ inner experiences: attraction, but also undercurrents of conflict. Ambient and distorted guitar, performed by the multitalented Tom Strahle, create a sonic atmosphere of mixed emotions.

Nice. And when I say “nice”, I mean a discordant, unsettling kind of nice.
Unsettling is right… I think, I would refrain from any sexual entanglements that are accompanied by such a score! An interesting thing about it is, somehow the piece made my little macbook speakers sound as powerful as THX. Nice acoustical effect!
