Cue of the Week: “Ronald”

The bassoon is a lyrical and versatile instrument, but many times is relegated to music with a comedic or clownish character. This cue is one of those times.

    Hi. Nice cue. It suggests to me a prankster, a ‘jokester’. It would be interesting to experiment with the cue, hear it played on other instruments, strings or horns, to see what the emotional effects might be. Of course, it would have to be adjusted appropriately for those. Just me speculating.
