Cue of the Week: “New Sight”

Wrapping up the series of music selections from Touché: A Blind Fencer’s Story, this cue falls towards the end of the documentary. Fencer Catherine Bolton makes breakthroughs in vision recovery, suddenly seeing a level of visual detail that had been denied to her since the onset of her condition. It’s hard not to get a little misty-eyed at the moment. I kept the music accompanimental, so as not to intrude on a scene already so rich with with emotion.
