Cue of the Week: “Aftermath”

I wrote this somber prelude for piano, strings, and clarinet for the opening of the film Home Room, which deals with the psychological effects of school violence. In this scene, detective Van Zandt (played by Victor Garber) surveys the sad aftermath of a school shooting.
