Cue of the Week: "You Can't Go Back"

Here's one I know you guys haven't heard. It was written for Cleve Nettles' 2001 film, All Over Again. The music ended up on the cutting room floor - a wise editorial decision, since it made the scene a bit syrupy. But out of context, I like the piece quite a bit; it's a healthy helping of nostalgia lightly garnished with a side of haunting-ness. (That was by no means the worst metaphor you're going to read in this blog.)

Props to the Budapest Film Orchestra's string section for a particularly wonderful performance.
